In 2026, Madison will have been sistered with Arcatao in El Salvador for 40 years! We hope to continue this long relationship for another 40 but we can only do this by continually engaging YOU—new people with energy and passion for cross border friendship, support and solidarity. Here's how you can learn more and become involved in Madison Arcatao Sister City Project!

Visit and "like" our Facebook page to keep informed of current news from El Salvador and opportunities with MASCP and the wider Central American community in Madison.
Buy embroidered goods from the women of Arcatao at the Fair Trade Holiday Festival held every year in Madison in early December.
Go with us to El Salvador and visit San Salvador, Arcatao, our sister city and usually another sister city in the US El Salvador Sister City Network. Contact us for more information.

Volunteer to:

Help set up and sell embroidery from Arcatao at the annual Fair Trade Holiday Festival in Madison.
Help set up and sell embroidery from Arcatao at Madison's International Festival held annually in the spring.
Help transport and set up Stations of the Struggle at area churches during Lent.
Provide occasional translation of materials into Spanish.
Transport handcraft items from El Salvador.
Help with Social Media to let people in Madison know about what's going on in El Salvador and Arcatao and update our community about MASCP activities.
Volunteer for set-up, cooking and clean up at our annual Pupusa Dinner. This is a great way to learn more about MASCP and meet lots of the supporters and leaders involved in MASCP.
